Getting around Downtown - Bike routes
We are desigining three key bike routes Downtown to improve connectivity to, from, and within the Downtown:
- St. Mary Avenue and York Avenue
- Notre Dame Avenue and Cumberland Avenue
- William Stephenson Way
We are also looking at cycling infrastructure on Graham Avenue as part of Re-imagining Graham Avenue.

Phase 1 what we heard
Share Phase 1 what we heard on Facebook Share Phase 1 what we heard on Twitter Share Phase 1 what we heard on Linkedin Email Phase 1 what we heard linkDuring Phase 1 engagement, we asked for feedback on the five key themes of CentrePlan 2050. You shared feedback about our Downtown streets and design of proposed bike routes.
What we heard will help to draft goals and actions that will shape how we experience Downtown streets. This includes creating a Streetscape Design Standards Manual. The manual will help plan how our streets will look and function over the long-term. Feedback from Phase 1 will also help to better understand what we need to consider when designing bike routes Downtown.
Read the Phase 1 public engagement summary and appendices for an overview of what we heard.
In Phase 2, we will get feedback from Winnipeggers on options for two Downtown bike routes.
