The City used feedback from stakeholders and a building assessment of the West Kildonan Library to come up with improvement options.

The City developed three options so that the library can continue to meet the community’s needs into the future.

  • Option 1 includes improvements to meet building code and accessibility standards. The improvements will maintain existing programs and services.
  • Option 2 includes the improvements captured in Option 1 and a small addition, new tutorial rooms, and a children's reading playground. It will allow for some additional programs and services.
  • Option 3 the improvements captured in Option 1 and a large addition, new tutorial rooms, a meeting room, outdoor reading garden, and a relocated children's area. It will allow for additional programs and services.


We want your feedback on the improvement options. What we hear from residents will help the City refine the proposed options.
