We want you to help us shape the future of Winnipeg’s transportation network!

Public engagement on Transportation Master Plan 2050 (TMP2050) is now underway.

Our public engagement goals for this project are to:

  • Gather Winnipeggers’ opinions, perceptions, experiences and desires for the City’s transportation network.
  • Use this information to help identify the current state and future goals of transportation in Winnipeg.
  • Communicate how public input was used to help shape TMP2050.
  • Help Winnipeggers understand the resulting strategies within TMP2050. Ensure Winnipeggers recognize the need to balance the needs of many types of road users.

In Phase 1, we want to share how OurWinnipeg and the Climate Action Plan set the direction for transportation planning, and what other City strategies and policies have told us so far. We also want to learn more about how Winnipeggers use the transportation network and what they value to understand how transportation could support a better quality of life for residents.

We’re asking Winnipeggers to provide input across a number of platforms. Engagement opportunities include:

Where are we going? Hear thoughts on the past, present and future of transportation in Winnipeg from a variety of perspectives. Together, we will reflect on how transportation can support a better quality of life for all Winnipeggers and then begin a discussion with participants about how we can move our city forward.

Can’t make it to the virtual event on November 24? Have more to say after attending? Join us for another discussion. Participants will be provided with a digital video recording of the panel discussion to review ahead of this event. We will then welcome participants online for an in-depth discussion reflecting on how transportation can support a better quality of life for all Winnipeggers and how we can move our city forward.
