Value for money study findings and next steps

On October 7, 2025, a report on Route 90 Improvements – Taylor Avenue to Ness Avenue is on the agenda for the Standing Policy Committee on Public Works. The report includes:

The findings of the value for money study.
A delivery model assessment (how the project should be contracted and built).
An updated cost estimate.
Next steps.

The Public Service is recommending that the analysis and assessment be accepted as information.

They are also recommending:

That the project be referred to the 2026 budget process and that the project begins no later than 2027.
That a request for $5 million be referred to the 2026 budget process to begin property acquisitions related to the Route 90 Improvement Project.

If you would like to participate in the Committee meeting, please submit your comments in writing or register as a delegation by noon on October 6, 2025.

After the Standing Policy Committee makes a decision, the report will go to the Executive Policy Committee, and then to Council.
