Council votes on Route 90 project

On October 30, 2025, Council voted:

  • That the Delivery Model Assessment and Benefit Cost Analysis be received as information.
  • That the project be referred to the 2026 budget process and that the project begins no later than 2027.
  • That a request for $5 million be referred to the 2026 budget process to begin property acquisitions related to the project.


If the full Route 90 project isn’t approved by early 2027, City staff must report back within 60 days with recommendations and funding plans to move ahead with fixing the St. James Street Bridges on their own, starting design work by 2027.
