Air Quality Data Mapping
Could you combine the parks and open space dataset with the assessment parcels dataset to calculate the mean / median distance from each house / condo to the closest park or open space? How does that compare to other cities? How does it break down by ward or neighborhood?
What are your ideas for new datasets that could be added to the open data portal? What changes would you like to see to existing data sets?
Add your ideas and comments.
Your feedback will be considered by the City’s Open Data team as we continue to grow the principle of open and accessible data - we will share with residents, businesses, and other jurisdictions the greatest amount of data possible while respecting privacy and security concerns.
The Tree Inventory (hfwk-jp4h) shows current trees in the city, but it's not clear what happens when trees are cut down or fall down. A new table could have: - Tree ID (to join on Tree Inventory) - Removed by: Natural causes / City / Owner - Cause: Wind / Lightning / Snow / Disease / Development / etc - Date of Removal
This allows easier joining on data sets on the on-time performance dataset as well as the bus pass-ups dataset.
Hello, I am not too sure if the city currently measures this, but the noise pollution could include variables such as: 1) unique ID 2) neighbourhood 3) lat 4) long 5) decibels 6) date 7) time 8) place where noise is measured (residential, industrial or commercial)
The first and current export is from March 2019 - a more current version would be helpful. As well, if the datasets could be routinely updated (ie. monthly) that would be even more useful! Cheers -
A dataset that shows all the information about injuries in the workplace in the city of Winnipeg. The province of Manitoba is already gathering that information so, it can not be so hard to get it. Maybe showing something like: date, type of injury, part of the body, corporation/company, recovery days needed, disabilities generated?, and all other information that can be disclosed.
What are your ideas for new ways to use the data in the open data portal?
Please indicate the use and which datasets you feel can be applied.
