On May 26, 2022, Council approved the Winnipeg Recreation & Parks Strategies, long-term strategic plans designed to guide investment in and decisions on recreation and parks services and operations. Thank you to the community groups, stakeholders, partners, and the general public for their input that helped shape the Strategies.

As the strategies are implemented over the next 25 years, they will have a significant and positive impact on all areas of Winnipeg. The Winnipeg Recreation Strategy will transform service, and work to ensure that new and refurbished facilities are more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all Winnipeggers. The Winnipeg Parks Strategy will provide direction for renewal, operations, and maintenance of parks spaces, amenities, and services to ensure all Winnipeggers are able to enjoy the city’s countless greenspaces for years to come.
