Point Douglas Neighbourhood Plan
Help us create a neighbourhood plan for Point Douglas.
Together, let’s create a vision for the long-term future of the neighbourhood. The Point Douglas Neighbourhood Plan will help guide future land use and development in the area.
The neighbourhood plan will include rules about where new buildings can be built and what they should look like. It will ensure that:
- A variety of housing exists for a wide range of people
- New housing is compatible with the existing houses
- Parks and other amenities are within walking distance of residents
- Point Douglas continues to develop as a walkable, bikeable, and transit-oriented community
We are currently reviewing feedback from Phase 1 engagement, which will help us draft the Point Douglas Neighbourhood Plan. In Phase 2, we will present the draft Point Douglas Neighbourhood Plan and get your feedback. Learn more about the project.
Future development in Point Douglas
To help create the neighbourhood plan, we want to know what types of land uses you would like to see and where.
To use this tool:
1. Zoom in on the map as needed. Areas within the neighbourhood are shaded in colour to make it easier to identify them on the map (see legend below).
2. Add a pin to the map by clicking on the “+” sign from the menu on the left. Drop a pin to identify where you would like to see each type of land use.
3. Leave a comment to further explain your pin (optional).
