Phase 2 public engagement summary and feasibility study complete

The Phase 2 public engagement summary and appendices are available. The summary shares what we heard from residents and how we considered the feedback.

The feasibility study and early cost estimate are also complete. The Class 4 cost estimate (accuracy of -30% to +60%) to build the project in 2028 is $30 million. The Bonavista Recreation Centre could be built in two phases to better fit available funding. Phase 1 could include the multi-purpose rooms, parking, and soccer field for an estimated $13 million. Phase 2 could include the gymnasium, additional parking, and the outdoor courts and would be built in the future as funding becomes available.

Council approval and funding is needed before moving to the next stage of design and construction.
